We went to Finch Hatton today for lunch and came across this old cottage which is 100 years old next year. The fellow who owns it came across and gave us its history.

Dean and I went to a trivia night for Camp Quality. This is a blurry photo of us as Shrek and Princess Fiona. It was a great night and raised some good $$ for Camp Quality. Our team came second last.

This is the tattoo that Amy got on the back of her leg down near her ankle.My comment was " Its a lovely saying but it would look just as nice on a plaque on the wall, did it really have to be on your leg!!!!

Cards

I attended a class today and we made these gorgeous cards and lolly bag holder. Aren't they gorgeous!!!!

During the June/July school hols I took my son Billy, down to Singleton to see my Grandma. We took her for an outing to the Hunter Valley Gardens. It was a beautiful place.

I didn't go to a single vineyard as I everywhere I went I had Billy and Nana in the car. Oh well, I know what wine I like anyway. We haven't seen Nana for 4 years and it was excellent seeing her again. She was very happy to have us there. It was very sad saying goodbye and driving away.

We learnt how to take photos like these at our class last week. Aren't they cool!!!! The first one is the cars headlights on a bridge and the other 2 are simply using a sparkler. :> Effective hey.!

Last night I attended class 1 of a 4 week photography held by Adrian of Aspect Images. www.aspectimages.com.au. The idea is to learn how to use my Digital SLR in Manual Mode."Scary"!! We learnt about ISO and shutter speed. Still all gobbly gook to me but am working it out. I had a play with my camera today.
This was the end result after a few shoddy pics. All I did was adjust the ISO and shutter speeds. There is no flash used.

With this pic, I tried to focus on the cup and blur (slightly) everything else.

Our cyclone damage is apparently getting fixed this Friday. It will be nice to get the tarp off the roof and the star pickets out of the back yard.
