Rain drops are falling.....

We woke up to heavy rain and thunder this morning. At least we aren't in the way of flood waters..my heart goes out to those communities that have suffered so much and still more on the way.
I am so looking forward to the day when I can open every window and let the breeze flow through, the mould is getting to me and I can't remember the last time I hung things on the clothes line!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow and stay safe and dry. We are in the firing line of an estimated 300-500ml of rain over the next couple of days, so will be taking things easy indoors and staying off the roads.
I am putting positive thoughts out for a happy 2011 for all :)

I went to Collinsville for a 2 day manual photography and editing class with professional photographer Ziggy Ziegler.  Unfortunately because of the rain, we didn't get to take photos of the sunset or sunrise.

wow....some sunshine!!!!

At last, we have some sunny weather!!! The weeds and lawn have gone beserk. I was able to do some round upping this arv.
Billy has now finished yr 11 and his semi-formal is tonight. The fellas are getting dressed up with ties and collared shirts.  A bunch of them are heading down to the Blue Water Quay near the river to get photos taken soon, so will upload some pics when I have them. :>
Wendy and I are heading to Brisbane for the day tomorrow for a friends 40th. It will almost be like a school reunion, with a few other old school mates going as well.

Retreat

Last weekend I spent with my beautiful sisters Kerry and Wendy and beautiful friend Shaz and 32 other ladies at the Scrapbooking Premiere Retreat. It was a fantastic weekend. One night we had to wear crazy glasses that we had made/decorated :>  I am already looking forward to next years retreat :> :>

My four legged canine friend

I found out today that my shi-tzu x maltese dog that is almost 11 years old has developed a pronounced heart murmur. This has resulted in him getting endocarditis (inflammation of the heart).
The little guy is now on heart meds for the rest of his life.

Spring is here!!!

I have just finished mulching my gardens with cane mulch. They look all spruced up and fresh again. The plants are flowering beautifully and the little birds are loving them.

New Background

We went to Finch Hatton today for lunch and came across this old cottage which is 100 years old next year. The fellow who owns it came across and gave us its history.

Dean and I went to a trivia night for Camp Quality. This is a blurry photo of us as Shrek and Princess Fiona. It was a great night and raised some good $$ for Camp Quality. Our team came second last.

This is the tattoo that Amy got on the back of her leg down near her ankle.My comment was " Its a lovely saying but it would look just as nice on a plaque on the wall, did it really have to be on your leg!!!!

Cards

I attended a class today and we made these gorgeous cards and lolly bag holder. Aren't they gorgeous!!!!

During the June/July school hols I took my son Billy, down to Singleton to see my Grandma. We took her for an outing to the Hunter Valley Gardens. It was a beautiful place.

I didn't go to a single vineyard as I everywhere I went I had Billy and Nana in the car. Oh well, I know what wine I like anyway. We haven't seen Nana for 4 years and it was excellent seeing her again. She was very happy to have us there. It was very sad saying goodbye and driving away.

We learnt how to take photos like these at our class last week. Aren't they cool!!!! The first one is the cars headlights on a bridge and the other 2 are simply using a sparkler. :> Effective hey.!
